Introduction to the Make a Decision Feature
Risky orders will route into workflow queues for an analyst to review and ultimately make a decision to approve, cancel, or reroute to another workflow.
Here is a short video that quickly shows the steps. Continue reading below for detail instructions.
From the order list, click the arrow to the right of each row. This will expand to show a subset of the order information including alerts, labels, network transactions and custom display fields. Right below the arrow is a blue button Make a Decision.
You can also click on the order ID to go to the full order detail page. Here you have access to all the information on the order. At the top right of this page is the same Make a Decision button.
Click on Make a Decision to open a popup. Here you can select the radio button for the action you'd like to take: Approve, Cancel, or Workflow.
Approve an order —
Choosing an Action
In the popup choose one of three options:
if you would like to approve the order. You may also add a label and a note.
Cancel an order — choose this option to cancel the order. A list of cancellation reasons will appear. Choose one of these reasons, or leave the default as Payment Risk. You may also add a label and a note.
Move an order to a Workflow — choose this option to move the order to a different workflow. A list of workflows will appear. Choose the workflow that will receive this order. Optionally, choose a label by clicking into the field to see a list of available labels.
Whether you are approving, cancelling, or moving the order to a workflow, you can select a label to apply to the order. Applying a label makes it easy to search for orders and get reports on orders that have a label.
In the popup, click into the labels fields and choose from among the labels shown. Optionally, you can add one or more new labels—simply enter the name of the new label.
Adding a Note
You can also add a note that explains the reason you made this decision. Keep in mind that, unlike labels, a note is not searchable and will not appear in reports.
Lastly, submit your decision and you're all done.
